Holly VanSkike, Matron of Honor
Holly just got married in January 2010 to Luke. Holly and Luke are both attending Kansas State University. Holly is studying to be a high school math teacher while Luke is studying biology. Holly and Diane are very close and enjoy spending time together walking and talking. In Holly’s free time, she enjoys playing with her nieces. Luke will be reading.
Megan is currently a student at Washington University at St. Louis working towards her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Megan married Andrew Piester in June, 2008. Megan and Andrew stay very busy studying, but when they do have free time they enjoy spending time with friends and visiting family.
Chris currently works for Flint Hills Resources, a Koch company. Chris is married to Diane’s brother Dave. Chris and Dave met while attending Kansas State University, and were later married in January 2008. They recently bought a house in Wichita.
Erica completed two years at Kansas State University and is now currently a nursing student at Bethel College in Newton, Kansas. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Orrie Bogner.
Lindsay married Diane’s oldest brother Craig in November of 2003. They have two daughters, six-year-old Julianna and three-year-old Gabriella. Craig and Lindsay met while attending Kansas State University. Craig and Lindsay live in Manhattan, Kansas. Lindsay operates an in-home daycare service.
Dr. Kyle Dohm, Best Man
Kyle and Aaron grew up in Sharon and were great friends throughout elementary school into middle school and high school. After high school Kyle attended Fort Hays State University and then went to Optometry school at University of Missouri at St. Louis. Kyle married his lovely wife Ann after he graduated from UMSL. Kyle is a Lieutenant in the Navy and is currently stationed in Japan. Aaron and Diane are thrilled that Kyle and Ann will be able to make the trip back to Sharon to share in the joy of their wedding day.
Rob and Aaron have been friends since eighth grade, collaborating in Quiz Bowl, Forensics, computers, and the high school garage band Emotional Feedback. After high school Rob attaended Hastings College in Nebraska. After finishing his degree, he headed out to the east coast. After a while, he relocated to San Francisco. Aaron and Rob have remained close friends despite the distance in part because of their shared interest in technology. Aaron and Diane were visiting Rob in October, 2009, when Aaron proposed to Diane on the beach. Now back on the east coast, Rob is currently in Brooklyn working for Boxee. Aaron and Diane are excited to have Rob in the wedding to share his outstanding personality – and amazing hair – with everyone at the wedding.
Aaron’s friend, drummer for the Aaron Traffas Band
Mason and Aaron have been friends since the mid-90’s when their fathers were in the band Autumn to May. They played together in the band Emotional Feedback in high school with Rob and Josh, and Mason continues to make Aaron sound good in the Aaron Traffas Band. Mason attended Cowley County Community College and then Kansas University, where he now works full time. Mason married Bobbie in 2005, and is excited – giddy, actually – to be expecting his first child.
Wayne and Aaron have shared many relationships together – coworkers, cousins, roommates and, of course, friends. Wayne attended Kansas State University and worked at Purple Wave while he was in Manhattan. He’s currently working in the Kansas City Metro area at a CNC fabrication shop.
Aaron and Andrew met in college, as Andrew is the younger brother of one of Aaron’s roommates. Andrew married Aaron’s sister Megan in June, 2008. Andrew grew up near Coats, Kansas, and currently lives in St. Louis while he pursues his optometry degree.
Josh Jacobs, usher
Josh and Aaron have been friends since the eighth grade. Josh and Aaron played football and baseball together, and were both in Show Chior. Josh was also in Emotional Feedback. For several years, Aaron helped Josh and Mark in the pit with their demolition derby cars. Josh grew up in Lake City, Kansas, and currently lives in Pratt with his wife Melissa.
Mark Hunter, usher
Aaron and Mark have been friends since preschool. Mark’s originally from Sharon, and he and Aaron played football together and were both in Show Chior. After high school, Aaron helped Mark for several years with his demolition derby entries. Mark graduated from Oklahoma State University and currently lives in Broken Arrow, OK, with his wife Katie and two sons.
Craig Poe, usher
Craig is Diane’s oldest brother. He attended Kansas State University and currently lives in Manhattan with his wife, Lindsay, and their daughters Julianna and Gabriella.
Dave Poe, usher
Dave is Diane’s older brother. He attended Kansas State University and currently works at Hartspring in Wichita where he lives with his wife, Christine.
Will Graham, ring bearer
Aaron’s first cousin, once removed
Will is the son of Aaron’s cousin John and John’s wife Sara. John is Wayne’s brother and lives in Kansas City.
Julianna and Gabriella Poe, flower girls
Julianna is the older daughter of Craig and Lindsay; Gabriella is the younger.
